Unforgatabe Hotel in Vlora
Hotel Liro must have one of the most spectacular sites in Albania if not in the Mediterranean; it is build right into the cliff and the view is amazing. It is not a hotel for the unfit or elderly as there are over 150 steps down to the bedroom area and about another 80 down to the sea. The rooms are well furnished and spotlessly clean. The staff are efficient and many of them speak English.
The sunbeds rapidly fill in the orning so it is essential that you reserve one. The small cove is stony but once in the sea it is delightfully clean and wonderfully clear. There is a small fresh water pool.
The restaurant has a wonderful menu and the service is good but both the food and wine are very over priced but if you don't eat at the hotel there is is only a small stall on the road above the hotel or an equally highly priced testaurant across the road. This means you have to drive if you don't want to pay the high prices.
For a romantic and spectaular hotel this hotel can be highly recommended. 2012-04-15 00:59:38
